Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you get in touch.

How quickly can you find me somewhere to live?

Most people go from referral to keys in about a week. We've done it in a day when the situation called for it. Once we've spoken and know what you need, we'll be straight with you about what's realistic in your area.

Do I need NDIS funding?

An approved NDIS plan is the usual path, and if you're working with a support coordinator we can start from there. If you don't have a plan yet but think you'd be eligible, still get in touch — we can talk through it. We also take private, self-funded placements.

What kind of housing and support do you actually provide?

Both shared houses and places where you're the only resident, furnished, with utilities and internet included. Where it's needed we provide 24-hour support, and we keep the same team around you rather than rotating new faces through.

I'm a support coordinator — can I refer a client?

Yes, and most of our placements come that way. Use the same form, or send through the referral directly and we'll arrange an onboarding meeting. Tell us the area, the funding situation and how quickly it needs to move, and we'll come back to you with what we've actually got available rather than a maybe.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You've been on a waitlist for months with no real answer about when something will come up.

  • Every provider says they'll "keep you in mind" and then you never hear back.

  • You're stuck somewhere that isn't safe or isn't suitable, and the alternative is nothing.

Don't worry, we can help!

About us

We're Bon Voyage Respites.

We're an NDIS-registered accommodation and support provider working across five states. We exist because too many people with disability sit on waitlists for months while suitable properties sit empty.

So we built the business around it. We hold homes furnished and ready before anyone needs them, which is why we can answer a referral with an address instead of a waitlist.

Homes held ready, so a referral gets an address rather than a waitlist
